Please accept our invitation to join the Washington State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

We are Washington state’s only scientific and professional organization dedicated exclusively to the development, organization and defense of our specialty in the State.

We gather on a regular basis to discuss interesting scientific topics and to discuss issues that actively affect the practice of our specialty in our State.

Although not obligatory, many of our colleagues are fellows or members of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the national leading association serving our specialty.

Remember that if you are an AAOMS member, their Bylaws require active membership in your State Society.

Provisional Member - $650.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: March 1st Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Provisional members must have completed all qualifications for membership except fulfillment of the WSSOMS on-site office anesthesia evaluation. The provisional member must successfully complete an on-site office anesthesia evaluation within two years of obtaining provisional membership. Provisional membership will only apply for a two-year period. If an on-site office anesthesia evaluation is not fulfilled within this two-year period, the provisional member must reapply and document acceptable reasons to continue provisional status. 1. A provisional member shall enjoy all the privileges of the component society except the right to serve in the House of Delegates or to hold office. 2. Upon successful completion of the office on-site anesthesia evaluation, the provisional member shall automatically become a member.

Resident Member Subscription period: 1 year, on: March 1st No automatically recurring payments 1. Resident members shall be in training in an American Dental Association’s (ADA) commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States or in Canada. 2. Residents in their senior year shall be allowed to begin their application process in the society prior to graduation from their training programs. 3. Resident members shall not have the right to vote or hold office and shall not be included in the counts used to determine delegate allocations. 4. Membership shall be terminated when a member completes training, resigns, or is dismissed from an accredited postgraduate program in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
